Materials
Ingredients for the dough
1/2 kilo of flour for all uses
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons raki
For the filling and serving
450 gr. fresh cheese
4 eggs
3 tablespoons honey
juice of 2 lemons
1 tablespoon rose water
2-3 mint leaves, chopped (optional)
4 tablespoons sesame seeds
butter for brushing
honey for serving
Method:
Mix all the ingredients of the dough and you make a homogenous mixture. Roll out to three sheets and cut into oblong strips 8-10 cm. 25-30 cm in length.
Mix well the cream cheese with honey, lemon juice, eggs and rosewater until you get a smooth mixture. Add at the end of the mint (optional) and stir.
Divide the stuffing mixture in to the cut strips of pastry and wrap rolls. Place the rolls on a lightly greased baking sheet and brush them with butter and. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake the cheese pies in the oven until golden brown. Then pour honey diluted with hot water, if you want to sprinkle a little sesame yet, and serve.
