Sardines fragrant in the oven



Ingredients 

1 pound cleaned sardines

1/2 bunch parsley, finely chopped

1/2 bunch dill, chopped

1/2 cup white wine

1 clove garlic, finely chopped

1 onion, finely chopped

tomato puree

olive oil

salt and pepper


 

Method:


Place sardines cleaned and washed in Pyrex glass baking dish (next to each other without overlap). Add salt and pepper and drizzle with olive oil.

Mix the tomato puree (about 1 1/2 cup), parsley, dill, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, olive oil and wine and pour this mixture sardines as they are covered all. If necessary add a little water to cover completely.

Bake in a moderate oven. Good luck !!!

Few secrets yet

At the same recipe you can make with anchovies, but the original recipe and the flavor is perfect for the sardines.  It goes well with white wine which you put into the sauce and enjoy! If left for the next day place the sardines in the refrigerator and serve as a perfect appetizer with ouzo ...
