Fay's Shrimp Saganaki


 


 Ingredients for 2 people:

12 whole peeled prawns

salt and pepper

1 tbls of Chicken stock powder

2 onions, sliced

2Tbs of capers 

2 pickled chillies sliced 

1 green pepper, chopped

olive oil

1 clove garlic, finely chopped

1 bowl of fresh grated tomato

2 ml. Teaspoon tomato paste

100 grams of Kefaloturi cheese slice

 


In a saucepan, add water to boil. Add some salt and then pour the whole shrimp. Or use ready cooked prawns. 


Allow to boil for 2-3 minutes. Remove them from the pan and place on a plate, while the  broth is boiled. 


In another pan, pour a little olive oil, and let oil to get a bit hot and add the onion, pepper and garlic.


Stir until the onions get golden. Add the fresh tomatoes, stir, add salt, pepper and a little chicken stock capers and pickled Chillies! Stir and wait a until it reaches to a boil and add the tomato paste. Stir until the sauce thickens and turn off the heat.


Cut Kefaloturi in to small chunks and slightly fry or bake in a pan with some olive oil until it's golden on both sides. 


To serve

Take 2 fried cheese peaces and put in the bottom of a plate add about 5-6 shrimp 

and cover with the sauce. Enjoy!
